MULTAN: Mufti Abdul Qavi has appreciated the act by late Dr Abdul Sattar Edhi of donating his eyes and continuing his mission of serving humanity even after his death.
Mufti Qavi paid rich tribute to the world famous late social worker for his services for the cause of humanity. He said that he would convene a meeting of the Islamic scholars including Mufti Wali Khan Al-Muzaffar (Karachi), Mufti Saeed Ahmed (Islamabad), Allama Shafat Masood Noori, Saifullah Khalid (Lahore), Maulana Zahid Qasmi (Faisalabad), Professor Ghazi Abdur Rehman (Bahawalnagar) in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss the donation and transplantation of human organs in the light of Sharia.
A questionnaire in this regard would be sent to 1,500 the scholars and ulema of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Iran, and other countries.
