RAWALPINDI: Indian troops on Thursday resorted to unprovoked heavy shelling at Line of Control (LoC) at various places of Bhimber sector. According to Inter Services Public Relations, Pakistani troops were responding to Indian firing and effectively targeting their positions in retaliation to the unprovoked shelling. Heavy exchange of fire continued till 11PM in the evening.
On November 14, COAS General Raheel Sharif had announced that Pakistan had killed 11 Indian soldiers in response to unprovoked firing by India. “The army has given outstanding results while defending the homeland,” the general said, adding that a message had been conveyed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that aggressive acts would not bear any results beyond needless loss of life.
