RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited National Counter Terrorism Training Centre (NCTC), Pabbi, to witness Pakistan-Turkey joint exercise “ATATURK-IX”.
ATATURK-IX is a series of yearly joint exercises held by the forces of the both countries. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two weeks’ long exercise was conducted at a high altitude in deep snow environment at Rattu near Astore and later in urban environment at Pabbi near Jhelum.
Troops from Turkish special forces and Turkish mountain commandos participated in the exercise along with Pakistan Army.
